Papertrey Blog Hop

It's been a while since I have been able to do one of the Papertrey Blog Hops.  I had to do this one because the colors are just so beautiful.  This is the palette that I chose.

I had to improvise on some of the colors because I still don't have all the PTI ink pads.  They look somewhat different on the photo vs. real life.  Oh, well. I like how the overall card turned out, though.

I used the Life is Sweet stamp set - my favorite set!  I had to add a few extra colors that are not in the challenge color palette so I could use the three-step roses.  The background is embossed using the Cuttlebug polka dots folder.  Then I ran over it with an ink pad to enhance the dots.  It gives the background just a little more pop of color.  

Here's a closer look at the roses. Aren't they pretty?  If you love flowers, this set is a must!
